The India Embassy provides Indian nationals and U.S. citizens or foreign nationals residing in the U.S. with passport and visa services. The India Embassy no longer allows applications to be lodged by mail. All applications must be provided to the India Embassy either via a third party India visa expediting firm (India Visa Service) or in person at the India Embassy in Washington, DC or at the India Consulate office residing over the jurisdiction in which the applicant lives.
